This mug was thrown and turned on a pottery wheel and decorated using a sgraffito technique (this is when the clay is painted with underglaze and carved to reveal the base layer of colour). A transparent glaze was sprayed onto the design to ensure a professional finish and then I used my own glaze to cover the interior and upper part of the mug. My makers mark is on the base of the mug.
Microwave and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is advised.
