Stoneware pot, handthrown and finished with a black clay slip and white lichen glaze. The reactive glaze changes and develops during the firing. As it melts and interacts with the underlying black clay slip, it creates irregular, textured patterns, similar to how lichen grows in nature. Stamped on the base is my maker’s mark. The piece is water safe and can be used for flowers or displayed on its own.
