his pot was hand thrown on a pottery wheel using a professional raku clay. It was then left to dry and burnished before being painted with layers of terra sigillata. This technique has been used to create a delicate and glossy finish to pottery for thousands of years.
During the raku firing I applied feathers at different temperatures to create black and contrasting ghostly white marks.
These vessels are sculptural pieces and are not food safe or waterproof.
