This pot has been wheel thrown and then burnished to create a smooth, shiny surface. It was decorated using a raku method, whereby feathers are applied to a heated pot to create delicate carbon trails and smoke patterns.
Raku pottery is sculptural, therefore it is not food safe or waterproof.
