This selection of work has been decorated using the oldest known technique for firing pottery. The pots are nestled together with combustible materials and pit fired for many hours. The emerging pots are left with dramatic patterns and vibrant colours that are embedded into the smooth clay surface. High Grade gold leaf had been applied to create an added lustrous effect.
These vessels are sculptural pieces therefore they are not food safe or waterproof.
