This vase was hand thrown on a pottery wheel using stoneware clay. It was then cut up and overlapped to give it a geometric appearance. The surface was then intricately carved with a crisscross pattern to allow the rustic iron and blue glaze to settle into the detail. This vase is able to hold liquids.
