Largely influenced by geometric patterns found in nature, this collection embodies a love of the raku process and a desire to create beautiful, refined surfaces.
This pot was hand thrown on a pottery wheel and decorated with a masking technique. After the pot reached temperature, it was plunged into a bucket of combustible material to create the crackle glaze that raku pottery is renowned for. Water resistant Indian ink was then used to enhance the contrasting surfaces.
Raku pottery is sculptural, therefore it cannot hold liquids.
