This pot was thrown on a pottery and and then altered into a moon flask form. It was then burnished to a smooth finish and decorated using the raku firing method. Feathers were applied to a heated pot at precisely timed moments to create delicate black and white carbon trails and smoke patterns.
This pot is a sculptural piece, therefore it is not food safe or waterproof.
